Think of virtual reality and you immediately think of high-end gaming and expensive headsets. It’s perhaps not something you have been contemplating as a way to entice your customers. Well it seems that is all changing. With mobile devices supporting 360 degree images and video without the need for a headset, or with headsets now available at ‘let’s give it a try prices’ such as Google Cardboard it’s now possible for anyone to experience this magical world of virtual reality.
But how could this even work for your business? With some creative thinking the possibilities are endless; a 360° tour of your facility, your shop or your factory, showcase how products are produced or used in real life examples.
Some companies and organisations are already bringing their unique products to life: The Natural History museum in partnership with Google Arts & Culture have created an amazing feast for the eyes with their virtual reality tour of the Fossil Marine Reptile Gallery featuring Rhomaleosaurus: Back to Life in Virtual Reality; and Ford GT’s 360 experience at Le Mans allows you to be in the car as though you were the passenger with the ability to look all around you.
Our own Virtual Reality division is currently working on projects within the Education, Charitable and Healthcare sectors and we’d love to help you understand the true commercial value to 360. Go on, challenge us!
